Our journey of purpose

I started Youth Empowerment and Support Organisation because I could not watch waste sit in our compounds while trees fell for charcoal and young people waited for work. YESO is my answer: recover the waste, carbonise what is suitable, and press it into alternative charcoal that homes and institutions can cook with.

Our workshop is in Kyebando, along Gayaza Road, Kampala. Call me on 0701 234106 or write to calvinyouth@rocketmail.com. You are welcome at the press.

Vision

A cleaner Uganda in which young people earn a living from work that reduces waste and eases the pressure on forests.

Mission

Recover suitable waste, carbonise it, and produce alternative charcoal for households and institutions, while training young people to do that work well.
